128-Channel MADI ExpressCard for notebook computers

Consisting of the HDSPe ExpressCard MADI and a small breakout box, the MADIface offers full MADI power:

64 channels input and 64 channels output, up to 192 kHz sample rate, in MADI embedded MIDI transmission, complete TotalMix that is even remote controllable and has all features of the HDSPe MADI, as well as lowest latency and CPU-load. HDSPe MADI

The HDSPe MADI is RME’s both inexpensive and outstanding PCI Express card with MADI interface. HDSPe MADI is based on the award-winning HDSP MADI card, and represents the new top model of this world-wide successful card line. The PCI Express card consequently uses all advantages of the MADI format, the professionals’ multi-channel audio interface, offering 64 channels of 24-bit audio at a sample rate of up to 48 kHz, 32 channels at up to 96 kHz and 16 channels at up to 192 kHz. Transmission is done via a single line, either coaxial with BNC plugs or by fiber cable. In both cases more than 100 m cable length can be achieved.

Compared with the HDSP MADI (Standard PCI version), the express card offers some new features: Support of higher samplerates than 96 kHz, more features in TotalMix (phase and inernal loopback per channel, +6 dB gain for the hardware outputs), and the direct support of the Time Code Option. HDSPe MADI provides even lower latencies, making the card the perfect partner for live recording and live mixing applications.

ADI-642 MADI converter

The ADI-642, an 8-channel format converter from MADI to AES and vice versa, is the latest addition to RME's successful MADI series. Amongst other applications, the unit can serve as ideal AES/EBU frontend for the Hammerfall DSP MADI PCI card. Up to 192 kHz at 24 bit are supported.

ADI-6432 64CH 24bit 192 kHz MADI- AES Converter

RMEs ADI-6432 offers 64 channels of format conversion from MADI to AES and vice versa. Typical applications include two ADI-6432 used as digital multicore, or one unit used as AES/EBU frontend for the Hammerfall DSP MADI PCI card. Up to 192 kHz at 24-Bit are supported. Built with 2 units height there is enough space for all connectors and control elements. Of course the unit includes lots of typical RME-features:

- Support for up to 192 kHz with MADI and AES

- SteadyClock for maximum jitter reduction and clock regeneration

MADI bridge

RME's MADI Bridge is patchbay, distributor, signal buffer and input selector, all at the same time - and thus mandatory for every MADI user. Up to 16 devices can be freely connected with each other by 6 coaxial (BNC) and 2 optical in- and output pairs.

MADI converter

The MADI Converter converts MADI digital audio streams from optical format to coaxial and from coaxial to optical. The compact 19" housing with 1 unit height contains six fully independent bi-directional converters.

The MADI converter is an ideal companion to RMEs MADI Bridge. Its six coaxial inputs and outputs can be converted to optical, which is advantageous in live and installed setups, and for longer cable lengths. The device can be placed underneath the RME MADI Bridge ideally; the coaxial in- and outputs of the two devices will be right next to each other vertically, and can be connected with short patch cables easily.
